Here are the steps to set up your BCN-302 box camera and a Router, and record video images remotely:
1. Enable the second Http port and configure the fixed port number of 3000 in System Setup on BCN302

2. Assign port number “3000” as the port to be opened on DIR-628 Router and give IP address of BCN320 device in the IP address field ( in this case, 192.168.0.100) . The screen is shown as below figure:

3.After installing BlueJay Viewer on your computer, click on “Run BlueJay viewer V2.1” shortcut on desktop. If blocking Bluejay Viewer pops up, please click on “Unblock” button to keep BJ Viewer running, as shown below.

4. You will see the Bluejay Viewer main screen as in the below figure. Click on “Setup” to configure the settings of IP camera.

5. Click on “CH01” on the left side of BJ Viewer System setting page. Select the device photo (choose BCN-302/302G photo here) and Fill in the Public IP address of Router’s WAN port (in this case: 220.133.6.3), port number (here we assigned port 3000), Account (default: admin), Password (default: 123456). Click on “Connection Test” (Snapshot) to test if you have set the BCN-302 in the Bluejay Viewer successfully.
6. Click on “Recording” to define the recording methods, for example, scheduled recording, triggered recording, etc.
Note that “220.133.6.3” is IP address that you can find the status of the WAN port on Router.

7. When you know the IP address of the router you’re using, you can now input the same IP address to the Bluejay Viewer as this IP camera’s IP address:


8. Click on “System” on the upper left corner in “Systems Settings”, and you’ll see the above figure for remote recording setup. Here you may use the default path of assign any storage location to record and to take snapshots for the cameras set in your Bluejay Viewer. Click on “Confirm” to apply all the settings, the Bluejay Viewer main screen will show up, and now you’re done!
With the help of Bluejay Viewer, you can now use your computer anywhere in the world to check out the images of your IP cameras, to take snapshots, and to record video images!!!
